November 30, 2009 (ADDISON, Ill.) — Funeral arrangements have been set for four members of a suburban Chicago family who died in a murder-suicide.

Visitation for the Mangiantini family of west suburban Addison is set for Monday, and a funeral Mass will be held Tuesday.

Authorities say 48-year-old Thomas Mangiantini Sr. shot himself last week after killing his wife and two sons.

Mangiantini’s 46-year-old wife, Elizabeth, died of a single gunshot to the head, as did their 8-year-old son, Thomas Jr. The couple’s 12-year-old son, Angelo, was shot multiple times in the head.

Police said they could hear gunshots as a woman believed to have been Elizabeth Mangiantini made a frantic 911 call early Wednesday.

Police found a note about the incident in Thomas Mangiantini’s pocket but haven’t released it.
